A Shared Mailbox 

One of the most famous landmarks in Sunset Beach is the Kindred Spirit Mailbox. This mailbox on the beach contains journals visitors can write in and share their thoughts and experiences. Getting to the mailbox takes a 30-minute stroll, so only those truly committed come to share their feelings. 

The mailbox has become a symbol of community and connection among those who visit Sunset Beach. But it has not only inspired the community, but it also inspired famous author Nicholas Spark’s novel Every Breath. 

Golfing Galore

Sunset Beach is a popular destination for golf enthusiasts, with the award-winning Oyster Bay Golf Links and Sea Trail Golf Club being the most notable of the courses.

Sea Trail Golf Resort & Convention Center is one of the most popular golf resorts in the Sunset Beach area. It features three 18-hole golf courses and various accommodations, including villas, condos, and suites. Oyster Bay Golf Links is known for its challenging layout and scenic views. 

Necessities 

We hope you don’t find yourself in a medical emergency, but services are not far if you do. Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center is the nearest hospital, half an hour from the heart of the city. If you’re expecting guests, they can fly to the Myrtle Beach International Airport in South Carolina, an hour southwest of Sunset Beach.
